The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge
Our team had a wonderful experience volunteering at the American Cancer Society Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Hope Lodge here in Jacksonville. This incredible facility provides a free, home‑away‑from‑home for individuals undergoing cancer treatment and their caregivers. Each lodge provides private rooms, shared kitchens, gathering areas, resource spaces, and the warmth of dedicated staff and volunteers, making the journey through treatment a little easier for guests from all over the world.
The Jacksonville Hope Lodge, opened in 2019, features 30 guest rooms and is located close to local treatment centers. During our visit, we toured the beautiful space, learned more about their meaningful mission, played board games with guests, and blended up refreshing smoothies for guests to enjoy a healthy treat.
