CAN I SWITCH MY CARD IF I ALREADY HAVE A COMMUNITY FIRST DEBIT CARD?

YES! You are able to switch from your existing debit card to a UNF Visa® Debit Card. Consider the following factors before switching: 

  • If you want to replace your current debit card with the special edition UNF Visa® Debit Card, the card number, expiration date, and CCV code may change.
  • This means, you will likely need update any automatic payments with your new UNF Visa® debit card number.
CAN I SWITCH TO A SUREBALANCE ACCOUNT?

Of course! The UNF Visa® debit card is available on two of our consumer checking accounts (Advantage and SureBalance).

1 - All offers may end at any time without notice. New members must open a share account with a minimum $5 initial deposit (share account is required for membership). Offer is only available to University of North Florida students, faculty, and staff. To open and enroll your new account in the promotion, visit the offer landing page and start an online application. You must enter “UNF CHECK” into the promo code field provided on the online application to be eligible for this offer. You may also enroll your new account in the promotion by applying in-person at our UNF branch location and provide the promo code to the Community First representative at the time of account opening. You are solely responsible for taking this action to be eligible for the Offer.
  1. Receive $100 when making a minimum of 10 transactions with your Community First debit card that has posted within first 90 days of account opening.
  2. Receive $100 for depositing $300 or more within first 90 days of account opening.
The bonus will be credited to the eligible checking account on or around day 91-97 of account opening. Each promotion is only applicable once per checking account and per member. Members with an existing personal checking account with Community First Credit Union or who have closed a checking account with Community First Credit Union previously are not eligible to participate. In order to receive the first (1) and/or second (2) reward, the new checking account must remain open and in good standing with a balance ≥$0.01 until the reward is deposited. Reward forfeiture will occur if the checking account is closed prior to the reward being deposited, or the new checking account has a negative available balance at the time of qualification validation.
 
2 - APY= Annual Percentage Yield. Must have an Advantage Checking Account to qualify for 3.04% APY. 3.04% APY on balances up to $500 and 0.05% APY paid on balances above $500. Rates accurate as of 02/02/2026. Must do at least 10 debit card transactions monthly and be enrolled in eStatements to get higher APY on first $500. Restrictions apply and rates can change at any time without notice.

3 - Members can receive their direct deposits up to two days earlier. No action is required to receive this complementary benefit. Early posting of the direct deposit is contingent upon receiving the funds from the sender. Payment may be delayed.

4 - Some restrictions may apply. Business and specialized accounts are not eligible. Upon enrollment, we will round up your Visa Debit Card purchases to the nearest dollar and transfer the different from your checking account to a Community First savings account of your choice. Members must opt-into Save My Change to enroll and opt-out of Save My Change to end enrollment by completing our online form, contacting us, or visiting a branch. We may cancel or modify the Save My Change service at any time without prior notice.
